Song about Kisata

This is a song/poem that I wrote inspired by an anime character named Kisara. This poem/song is a parody of "rose of tralee", but unlike most parodies. This is not a mockery of the original song, rather this is a tribute to the original.

Kisara

The pale moon was rising
Above the green mountain
The sun was declining
Beneath the blue sea
When I strayed with my true love
To the pure crystal fountain
That stands in the beautiful
Vale of Kyoto

She was lovely and fair
As the sakura blossom of Japan
Yet twas not her beauty alone that won me
Oh on twas the truth
In her eyes her dawning
That made me love Kisara
The blossom of Japan

The cool shades of evening
Their mantle were spreading
And Kisara all smiling
Was listening to me
The moon through the valley
Her pale rays were shining
When I won the heart
Of the blossom of Japan

Though lovely and fair
As the blossom of the summer
Yet was not her beauty alone that won me
Oh no, twas the truth
In her eyes ever dawning
That made me love Kisara
The blossom of Japan
